Dogamy and Dogaressa are functionally identical, and use team attacks to take you down. They're pretty easy. so long as you don't kill 'em. Even then, if you kill Dogaressa first, Dogamy becomes an absolute wimp. Kill Dogamy first, though, and Dogaressa becomes a brutal opponent. Take her down first if you want to win violently.

If you defeat Dogaressa first, Dogamy's attacks will get weaker. Beat Dogamy first, though, and Dogaressa gets much stronger. She has less HP, so she should go first. Merciful combat is a bit weirder. The Dogi won't let you near unless you smell differently. Start by Rolling Around in the dirt to change your smell, then have one of the Dogi.

2 Answers Sorted by: 13 Like many UNDERTALE boss fights, there is a specific order that must be done in order to pass it. This one works like this. Roll in the dirt/mud which will make them think you are a weird puppy, then Sniff to let them smell you, and then Pet. Make sure you pet both of them, and then you will be able to spare them. Share
